The first annual MRC Festival of Medical Research is taking place from 18 to 26 June 2016, inspired by the MRC’s Centenary Open Week in 2013.
The MRC Festival will see scientists from research establishments showcasing their research through events and activities around the UK including open days, public lectures and debates, activity days, workshops, interactive seminars and quizzes. Some are open to the public and others are designed for a specifically invited audience.
The aim of the MRC Festival is to increase awareness and understanding of the benefits of medical research, and to build trust in medical research by sharing MRC-funded research with different audiences.
