JRF Call: Housing and Poverty

Joseph Rowntree FoundationThis call for a qualitative and longitudinal Housing and Poverty flagship study aims to answer two key questions:

  1. How do the dynamics of households’ housing circumstances affect their experience of poverty at different stages in their life course?
  2. What housing (or directly housing related) policy and practice actions would improve household outcomes by better preventing, mitigating or reducing poverty at different stages in people’s life course?

At this stage, we are seeking expressions of interest only.

Expressions of interest in this project must be clear both how they would meet the methodological challenges presented by these questions and how they will move from the study’s findings to credible policy responses across the spectrum of national, local, neighbourhood or organisational levels, as well as the urban/rural divide.

We plan to shortlist a maximum of six expressions of interest which will then be invited to submit a full proposal.

Deadline: 30 June 2014, 23:59 hours

The budget: £300,000 (including VAT and expenses) one project only
