The EPRSC, in collaboration with the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport, Science and Technology (MEXT) and Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) are looking for collaborative research proposals in severe nuclear accident studies and environmental safety.

This call seeks to support two projects, one in severe accidents and one in environmental safety. The project are to be of fixed duration of approximately two and a half years, having a fixed start date of 17th November 2014 and an end date of 31st March 2016, in order to accommodate the Japanese funding cycle.

This call is the first phase of this new collaboration which will be a springboard for deeper and larger collaborations in the future.
