The Joseph Rowntree Foundation have released a call for Anti-Poverty Strategies Reviews.
The aim of these reviews is to examine the connections in poverty across an array of different areas. They need to assess evidence for the impact of intervention or policies on poverty, especially where these have been costed or have robust outcome data, as well as addressing why these approaches have had a positive effect.
Reviews are expected to last 4 months starting September 2013. There are 7 separate studies, and each will have an available budget of £20k including VAT and expenses. Listed below are the study areas:
- Devolution
- Well-being
- Homelessness
- Migration
- Problem substance use
- Means-testing versus universalism
- Benefit take-up
Initially this call asks for a completed Expression of Interest proposal form, and up to three of the best will asked to submit a full proposal. The deadline for submission is 26th June 2013 23:59. If successful through the first phase applicants will be asked to submit their full proposal 5th August 2013.
