British Council JSPS Summer Programme

Research collaboration, image © Corbis JapanThe British Council in Japan, in association with the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science, has issued an invitation for applications for its summer programme.

This programme allows UK researchers in the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences to spend time in Japan. All fields of the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences are included under this programme, however applicants must have UK nationality or permanent residence status and be of graduate student status (Master or PhD) or recent PhD holders (within six years) at university or research institution in the UK.

The awards include round trip airfare, a maintenance allowance of ¥534,000, a domestic research trip allowance of ¥58,500, research support allowance of ¥100,000, insurance and lodging.
