If you are a researcher within the Arts and the Humanities you may be interested to hear about an event to take place next summer which will tackle the two areas of impact and knowledge exchange:

In what ways can new research in the Arts and Humanities make an impact beyond the academy? And how can processes of knowledge exchange transform traditional approaches to Arts and Humanities research
The first major conference on this topic, this two-day event will bring together delegates from higher education, the heritage sector, creative industries and the performing arts to discuss inter-relationships between Arts and Humanities research and public engagement
The conference aims to explore high-quality, innovative new work in the Arts and Humanities and to situate the ‘impact agenda’ within a creative, critical, research-led context.
Speakers include:
- Mark Llewellyn, AHRC Director of Research
- Matthew Dodd, Head of Speech Programming and Presentation, Radio Three
- Dominic Oldman, Deputy Head of IS / ResearchSpace Director, British Museum
- John Stack, Head of Tate Online
- Joanna Sofaer, University of Southampton, HERA-funded ‘Creativity and Craft in Middle and Late Bronze Age Europe’
- Anna Eavis, Head of Archive, English Heritage
Proposals are invited for 20-minute papers on any related subject, from anyone working in knowledge exchange and Arts and Humanities research (in higher education or beyond). Topics might include:
- Research project case studies
- Innovative dissemination strategies
- Curating research
- The ‘impact’ agenda
- Practice-led or creative approaches to research
- Collaborative and partnership working
- Dissemination strategies
- Use of digital technologies / new media
- Collaborative doctoral award projects
- Performance and creativity
