Cancer Research UK invites proposals for its feasibility study project grants. These fund investigator-led studies testing aspects of feasibility, tolerability or efficacy, including:
- single- or multi-centre prospective therapeutic (IMP and non-IMP), diagnostic or prevention phase II studies, potentially involving more than one NCRN network, or several centres within a network;
- academically led feasibility studies in receipt of educational grants or free drugs from the pharmaceutical industry (industry-sponsored trials cannot be reviewed under this scheme).
Applicants must be from a UK university, clinical centre or clinical trials unit.
The maximum allowable duration is 48 months, although the typical duration of studies is 24 months and funding is usually at a level of £25,000 per year, with an upper limit of £80,000 for the entire duration of the award.
The closing date for applications is the 23rd November 2012.
