The UK Research Office (UKRO) have managed to obtain information on the number of proposals submitted in the three 2012 Marie Curie Individual Fellowships calls which closed last week. In keeping with the trend of recent years, all schemes have received an increased number of applications in comparison with last year’s calls.
All three calls received an increase of 12% more applications than last year:
The Intra-European Fellowships (IEF) scheme received 3732 applications compared to 3326 received in 2011.
The International Outgoing Fellowships (IOF) scheme saw applications rise from 861 in 2011 to 962 in 2012.
The International Incoming Fellowships (IIF) scheme received 1464 applications in comparison with last year when 1304 proposals were submitted.
Evaluation summary reports for the 2012 proposals are expected at the end of November 2012, with final results due in December.
