As part of the EPSRC‘s Research Infrastructure key theme proposals are invited for statements of need for High-End Computing (HEC) Consortia.

Consortia will be funded through this call for a maximum duration of 5 years (March 2013-March 2018) and it is the intention that all grants will finish in March 2018, regardless of the start date. This will enable EPSRC to coordinate the timescales of their portfolio of HEC Consortia. The exact overall budget for this call will depend on the number and quality of proposals received.

The statements of need will be prioritised by an expert panel in October or November 2012. Consortia in the high priority areas will then be invited to submit full proposals via Je-S which will be prioritised by a second panel in January 2013. More detailed guidance about what is expected in the full proposal and details of the review process will be given to invited applicants.
