The National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement (NCCPE) will be holding an event on the 11th September aimed at researchers, information management specialists and business and community engagement practitioners with an interest in the impact agenda:
Are you a researcher looking for ways to better measure the impact of your work? Do you have expertise in impact analysis or information management and would like to find ways to link up with researchers?
This event provides an opportunity to find out about nine JISC funded projects looking at enhancing capability to embed impact analysis in research.
The event will feature updates from each of the nine projects, focusing on the tools and processes being used to embed impact analysis and providing an opportunity to reflect on key challenges and key lessons learnt on the projects to date.
Context
The NCCPE have partnered with JISC to support a new project “Embedding impact analysis good practice in research using business and community engagement (BCE) practitioners”. The project aims to help institutions embed capability and processes for identifying and articulating benefits and impact in their research groups, by bringing together partnerships of:
- Impact analysts: those with specific expertise in business and community engagement
- Information Management Specialists: with experience of using IT to support impact analysis
- Research groups seeking to demonstrate the impact of their work
The projects will complete in November 2012. The NCCPEs role is to facilitate and share learning across these projects and synthesise the outputs from the projects into a compendium of good practice. For further information on the projects visit the project page.
The event is free to attend. For more information and to register for the event please visit the NCCPE website.
