This supports proposals from non-profit organisations in the health and care field. To be eligible, an organisation must be providing voluntary health services in England, be a not-for-profit organisation and either be incorporated or have charitable status. There are three strands under which to apply: innovation strand; excellence strand; strategic development strand. In 2012, the budget for this fund was £6.9 million, with each of the 74 successful applicants receiving between £15,865 and £239,669 for first year allocations.
