The AHRC International team has launched a blog to keep the UK arts and humanities research community abreast of the latest news across a range of international funders and to bring an ‘arts and humanities’ focus to funding opportunities.
‘Research beyond borders’, the result of ongoing consultation with the community about the ways in which the AHRC International team can support researchers, will gather news and information from a range of sources and present it in an accessible and engaging way.
Lucy Parnall, European Strategy and Development Manager at the AHRC, says that a blog seemed the best way to ensure that researchers received the information in the most appropriate format. “A blog has functionality which makes sense to people,” she says. “But the key thing for us is to increase the visibility of funding opportunities which people have been asking us for. We’ll be getting guest contributors to join in too and we’ll be asking for ideas and contributions from our blog users. We hope people will want to get involved.”
