Research Leadership awards are intended to support those who have started to build their University career but wish to build a research team in order to tackle an identified research problem.  The awards will provide funding of between £800,000 and £1 million, over a period of up to five years, for research assistants and research students to be led by the awards holder.

Applicants should have held a University position for at least two years to be eligible for this scheme.

The deadline for submission is 4.00pm on 30 April 2012, however please note that institutions are limited to submitting one application and staff will not be able to apply for this scheme unless nominated by the institution.
