Coming up in the next month we have:
Bid Writing Surgery: Thursday 7 April, all day, Ground Floor Meeting Room, Enterprise @ Lincoln, Brayford Campus
Dr. Martin Pickard (Grantcraft) is an external consultant employed by the University of Lincoln. Martin’s monthly bid writing surgery will give staff an opportunity to access his 25 years of experience in supporting bids for external funding. Please contact research@lincoln.ac.uk if you wish to book an appointment to speak to Martin about a bid to any funder. Each appointment lasts around 45 mins to 1 hour.
Working on the web: Wednesday 13 April, 12pm – 1.30pm, Computing Services Training Room 1, MAB, Brayford Campus
Find out how free and easy-to-use web technologies (Web 2.0) and standards (RSS) can improve the way you work online. This lunchtime workshop, run in conjunction with CERD and the Library, will introduce tools to help you easily keep track of funding and published research. It will also show you how you can collaborate and promote your research online. Please contact HR to book a place: training@lincoln.ac.uk
Grant Development Workshop: Wednesday 23 March, 9.30am – 3.30pm, Meeting Room 2, Enterprise @ Lincoln, Brayford Campus
The Research Grant Development Workshop is designed to improve success rates of research funding applications. The morning session takes the form of a mock funding panel, with participants reviewing previously submitted funding bids.
