The BBC science show Bang Goes the Theory is looking to find new technology to be profiled on the new series. This doesn’t have to be something that is completed and on the market, but they are looking to profile prototypes and proof-of-concept science and technology that is breaking new ground in its field.
A good example is a power-generating knee brace which is just the beginning in personal power generation, or a smart elastoplast that can feed back information on the wearer’s health. Rather than gadgets, they are looking for real science and engineering that is changing the way people think in their fields.
