Collaboratories are virtual research environments that enable researchers across the country or the world to work together on research projects, bids or publications. Here’s a short video which shows how researchers and librarians in the Netherlands are using these tools (in Dutch with English subtitles):

The research office has been working together with CERD and the library on establishing a similar toolkit for researchers here at Lincoln. It will be based on Google Apps, and in advance of its release we’re running training sessions starting in October through the HR Staff Development Programme. The first session is on 13th October at 12.30pm in CS training room 1. University of Lincoln staff can book online via the Portal (login required).
