AHRC Studentship Competition Opens for 2010

The Arts and Humanities Research Council has recently opened their studentship competition for 2010. The full details are available on the AHRC website:

AHRC Studentship Competition

The competition is open only to institutions who do not hold a Block Grant Partnership (such as Lincoln). Based on the profile of eligible institutions, the AHRC expects the majority of successful proposals to be in the area of Creative and Performing Arts, and that the awards will tend to be Professional Preparation Masters Scheme.

The deadline is 6th May 2010 and applications must be made via Je-S. However, all universities have been capped on number of submissions – Lincoln is only allowed to submit 5 applications. This means that, as in last year’s competition, there will be internal deadlines prior to May which prospective students and supervisors must meet. This is to ensure that the University is able to put forward applications of the highest quality and which stand the best chance of success.

More detail will be communicated on internal deadlines shortly, but if you have any questions on the scheme or if you’re a student interested in applying, please contact the Research Office.
