Following the success of its first regional events in 2007/8, the AHRC are holding a further series of events. Through the regional events programme, the AHRC hopes to give arts and humanities researchers, senior HEI staff and support staff, as well as non-academic stakeholders the opportunity to find out about AHRC strategic priorities, attend focused workshops and join discussions on a range of subjects; to meet each other and AHRC staff and to develop stronger links between the organisation and award holders. The regional event for Northern England, Northern Ireland and Scotland will be held in Leeds on the 18th&19th November.
Partnership and Collaborative Working, Thackray Museum, Leeds – Wednesday 18th November
This event will demonstrate the benefits of collaborative working and give you advice on building successful partnerships with a range of collaborators and researchers. There will also be an opportunity for round-table discussion and award holder presentations will offer an insight into some of the AHRC-funded collaborative partnerships between academic institutions, commercial partners and museums and galleries.
AHRC Strategy and Research Showcase, Bodington Hall, University of Leeds – Thursday 19th November
The morning plenary session will focus on AHRC strategic vision and funding schemes. There will also be presentations from two AHRC-funded award holders to demonstrate the diverse range of research funded by AHRC. The AHRC Director of Research will take questions and you will also have the opportunity to take part in Q&A with the award holders. This session is suitable for HEI senior management, support staff working in Research Offices and those interested in applying for AHRC funding.
