From later on today, when you go to www.researchresearch.com from a campus PC you’ll be taken to the new, upgraded Research Professional site. Research Professional offers the latest research funding news and opportunities, as well as a comprehensive searchable database of all funding schemes. Here’s how it will look when you visit:

On the left is a series of drop down menus giving access to Funding, News and the Directory which shows the university structure. The Directory will eventually contain relevant searches for all different faculties, departments and research centres to allow you to quickly and easily find information that you need. You’ll also be able to share opportunities with other people in your research group using this interface.

If you already have a personal account at researchresearch, this will be transferred over to the new Research Professional site. If you don’t have an account, you can sign up for one from the start page. This will allow you to receive personalised email alerts to keep track of all the latest funding opportunities.

We’ll be running some staff development and training sessions soon to give more support for this service, but in the meantime please contact us if you need assistance or check out the introductory videos here.
