John Denham, Secretary of State for the Department of Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS), announced yesterday that a new set of Lambert model agreements had been published:
Lambert Toolkit for Collaborative Research
The Lambert Toolkit consists of a set of model research agreements or contracts for one-to-one and consortium-based research projects with industrial and commercial partners. The contracts are designed to facilitate more effective collaboration and knowledge transfer with industry.
They contain standard contractual clauses governing limitation of liability, intellectual property, and ensuring that there are rights to publish results of the research in academic journals, providing no confidentiality agreements are in place.
There’s also a decision guide and notes with each model agreement to help you decide which is right for you. If you need further advice and support in using Lambert agreements, or any other model contracts (e.g. DESCA consortium agreements for FP7), please contact either the Research Office or Enterprise @ Lincoln.
