The European Union’s Research Directorate General is using Youtube to promote funding available for researchers:
The Marie Curie, or PEOPLE programme is part of the EU’s Framework Programme 7 funding for research. It funds a range of activities focused on developing researchers and their career prospects, such as training (Initial Training Networks), staff exchanges (Intra-European Fellowship), and travel. It can also provide funding for visiting researchers from outside the EU to come to the UK and carry out collaborative research projects.
Most calls for 2008 have closed, but it is worth starting to think about next year’s calls at an early stage. Research Office can provide help and support in preparing an application, and you should also consult the UK Research Office page on Marie Curie grants. UKRO act as the National Contact Point for the Marie Curie programme in the UK and also run proposal writing events when calls are announced.
